Even though our systems as well as the individuals we have placed our faith and trust in to
               administer our systems have failed us, there is fear and reluctance to abandon old ideas that do not
               work. To do so would further erode confidence in a system people must believe in because there is
               no alternative.

               The American Dream was publicly defined in 1931 by James Truslow Adams in Epic of America.

               Adam's often-repeated quote states, "The American Dream is that dream of a land in which life
               should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or
               achievement." Adam further adds, that the American Dream is not, "... a dream of motor cars and
               high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to
               attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for
               what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position.”

               Every human is entitled to the basic requirement of life, which many have termed the “American

               Dream.”   Achievement of the “American Dream” which we term “Standard Needs”, for the vast
               majority of people is impossible. The potential to achieve “the ideal life” for most has broken under
               weight of a swollen welfare state of entitlements and subsidies that many rich men benefit from by
               means of government grants, contracts, policies, and institutionally sanctioned low wage slavery.
               Greedy individuals (not necessarily rich men, but often the case) lack understanding of the effects
               their ill-conceived concept of the “ideal life” has on other people and our environment.

               Greed is a dissociative mental illness that allows the afflicted to act compulsively to fulfill perceived

               short-term or long-term needs and compulsions without thought of the long-term effects their
               actions play upon others, society, and the ecological systems we all require. Greed is destructive,
               and acceptable only to those who have yet to elevate their level of consciousness.

               Our problems are numerous yet rooted in the same cause— the violation of human rights:


               Political (Legislative) and Judicial Injustice

                   •  The inability to effectively participate in or change political policy and legislation.
                   •  The threat of imprisonment and physical violence to force obedience to unjust laws.

                   •  The use of misleading information to enforce man-made laws and political or resource
                       acquisition agendas.
                   •  The inability to submit grievances and receive justice.

               Production and Distribution of Injustice


                   •  The inequitable distribution of resources because of monetary inequity.
                   •  Artificial cost and arbitrary price concepts for need based resources.
                   •  Barriers to entry (closed markets with high cost capital investment requirements to gain
                       access).
